Sapphire glass
Sapphire is up to 7 times harder than metal and is second only to diamond in Mohs scale. The sapphire crystal provides excellent protection for your watch. Water resistance: 50 meters (5 bars)
This watch is water resistant, but should not be worn while swimming. Value refers to the pressure in the water, at that depth, when it is still… and should not be considered deep for wearing a watch.
Condensation – important!
Rapid temperature changes can cause condensation within the watch. If you find water under the glass, you will immediately go to the watchman, who can open and dry the watch. Even if the signs of humidity disappear on their own… water won’t damage your watch – and eventually it will – so go to a professional and have it removed properly. Even a waterproof watch doesn’t protect against condensation, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to go from extreme heat to extreme cold – like from a hot sauna right into the snow. If condensation does occur, it rarely (if ever) depends on the manufacturer, so if your watch is water damaged, the warranty won’t cover it (it could be the manufacturer, but… because rapid temperature change = cause).
